Milan wine cellar

An example of design and construction of a wine cellar where, in a residential area, the under-stair storage unit has been converted into an ideal location for resting the best wines.

The floor, made with an antique Lombard recovered terracotta, is placed on a bed of sand in direct contact with the ground, to facilitate the achievement of the ideal conditions of humidity by capillarity from the subsoil.

Solidity and lightness come together in the bottle holder furniture consisting of elements in waxed raw iron and solid pear wood treated with natural protective agents in order to keep the innermost spirit unaltered. The backlight in some specific points helps to enhance the natural and material appearance of this Wine Room.
