In the heart of a residence overlooking Lake Orta, Winest has created a bespoke underground wine cellar that exists in perfect autonomy from the rest of the home.
A quiet, suspended environment where light and materials interact in balance, transforming a technical space into a place of emotion and conviviality.
Here, controlled climate systems ensure optimal conditions for wine preservation, while the natural humidity of the underground level contributes to an authentic microclimate.
The steel-framed glazing, defined by a light and precise profile, supports the weight of tempered glass while ensuring thermal insulation and visual continuity. Its curvature perfectly follows the shape of the vaulted ceiling, highlighted by two backlit wine display walls that trace an arc of light.
Winest oversaw the entire project, from the renovation of the space to the creation of bespoke furnishings, through to the tasting area: an elegant and contemporary setting where design enhances the wine experience.
